The Center was created as a permanent platform for scientific discussion and comprehensive study of various topical issues of the origin, development and modern state of the Old Believers. In addition to Orthodox scholars, mainly from the teaching staff of the seminary, representatives of the local Old Believers, in particular, the Old Believer Bishop of Yaroslavl and Kostroma Vikenty, also take part in the activities of the center. The presentation of the new collection, which was timed to the graduation ceremony of the seminary, was conducted by its rector, Priest George Andrianov. The lecture was devoted both to the historical and cultural aspects of the emergence of the Old Believers' schism in the 17th century in the Russian Church, as well as to current issues of modern development of relationships.
