Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk met with Turkish Ambassador to Russia

February 3, 2017 in the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate met DECR chairman Metropolitan Hilarion with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey in Russia Hüseyin Dirioz. The meeting was attended by the DECR - DECR vice-chairman , Archpriest Nikolai Balashov , and DECR secretary for inter-religious relations Rev. Dimitry Safonov , from the Embassy - the first adviser Murat Dikmen. Archbishop spoke about various aspects of contemporary activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, including in the international arena. The sides discussed various issues of mutual interest. Including Metropolitan Hilarion spoke about the interaction of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Office for Turkey religions, expressing hope for further constructive cooperation.
