We will measure the merit of our prayer by the faith of man, the quality of our relations to people. What are we like with people? Sometimes we coldly, without the participation of the heart, on the job or from propriety express our requests, praise, gratitude, or do something for them; and sometimes with warmth, with the participation of the heart, with love or sometimes feigned, sometimes sincerely. Also we are different with God! It is always necessary to express with all my heart to God and thanksgiving and thanksgiving and petition; we must always do with all our heart every work before Him ; with all my heart, always to love Him and hope for Him. Is it possible to pray with haste without harming one's prayer. It is possible for those who have learned inner prayer with a pure heart. Therefore, it can pray with haste and at the same time it is pious, since haste does not harm the truth (sincerity) of prayer. And this is not always given to a person who is not accustomed to prayerful contemplation. Therefore, the rare pronunciation of words of prayer for such people should be put for an indispensable rule. Wait until each word is given in the heart of the echoes characteristic of it. As an unkind man, coming to the good, meek and humble person with a request for a better success of his request, he himself tries to become like him, so a Christian, starting with prayer to the Lord or His Most Pure Mother or Angels or Saints - for the success of his prayer should be likened to the Lord Himself or His Most Pure Mother or Angels or the Holy One. And this is the secret of approaching, and the speedy hearing of our prayers. Give, the worshipers, God your heart, that loving, sincere heart that you love your children, parents, benefactors, friends, in whom you feel the sweetness of unrequited, pure love. Sometimes in prolonged prayer only a few minutes are truly pleasing to God and constitute a true prayer and true service to God. And if I pray inwardly, with my heart, then, not paying attention to the pronunciation of words, I concentrate it on the content, on their strength, accustoming the heart gradually to the truth, and I enter the very arrangement of the spirit in which the prayer words are written, and thus , I gradually learn to pray in spirit and in truth, in the words of the eternal Truth: the one who is laying down to God, he desires to bow in spirit and truth. When a person prays outside, out loud, then he can not always follow all movements of the heart that are too fast, so that he needs to deal with the reprimand, the outward form of the word. Thus, many readers who read fluently receive a completely false prayer: with their lips they seem to pray, in all they see them as pious, but the heart sleeps and does not know what the mouth is saying. This is because they are in a hurry and do not think with their heart about what they are saying. We must pray for them, as they pray for us; It is necessary to pray that their words reach their heart and breathe it with warmth. They pray for us with the words of holy people, and we are talking about them. The Lord responds to every desire of the heart, expressed in words or unexpressed. In order for a Christian to live a Christian life, and the life of the spirit has not completely died out, he needs a home and social prayer, it is necessary to visit with faith, understanding, diligence. Divine service in the temple, how to pour oil into the lamp, so that it burns and does not fade; and since prayer is sincere, hot happens with abstinence, then in order to maintain a Christian life or the fervor of faith, hope and love, abstinence and fasting are needed. IV. The Word in Prayer The word in our mouths is already creative, forming articulate sounds; with the word comes the living spirit of man, not separated from thought and word. You see, the word by its nature even in us is instrumental. What are we so little confident about and distrustful of the creative power of the word, for example, in prayer, that it is a verbal ministry - will the Lord's mercy necessarily bring us down? - So the word constantly creates flesh: articulate sounds, and letters, or our books, is not it the flesh into which the word has been clothed? Praying during the Divine service, performing sacraments and prayers for different occasions, firmly rely on the very words of the church prayers, believing that not one word is in vain, each has its own power, that in every word the Lord Himself is a triune person, everywhere syay and all fulfilling; Think: I am nothing, everything is done by the Lord. As in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are inseparable, so in prayer and in our life, thought, word and deed must also be inseparable. Whether you ask for anything from God, believe what will happen, will be made according to your request, as God wills; you read the word of God - believe that everything that is said in it was, is and will be, and it is done, it is done and will be done. Every word of the Holy Scripture, every word of the Divine Liturgy, Matins and Vespers, every word of sacred mysterious prayers and prayers has in itself the corresponding and contained power, like the sign of an honest and life-giving cross. Such grace is inherent in every church word, for the hypostatic, incarnate God's Word that is the Head of the Church dwelling in the Church. And every true kind word has its corresponding strength, for the sake of the universal simple Word of God. With what attention and reverence one has to say every word, with what faith!
