On June 19, 2019, a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Presence Commission on social life, culture, science and information was held in the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsky . During the meeting, members of the commission responsible for the draft documents familiarized the participants with the results of their work. There were heard reports on the preparation of the “Attitude of the Church to New Information Technologies (anthropological aspect)” document and on the problem of the spread of neo-paganism. In the second part of the meeting, leaders of the working groups “Church and Culture” (headed by Bishop Gennady Kaskelensky ), “The ethical dimension of the presence of clergy and laity in information media. Information challenges and the reaction of the Church "(head - Archpriest Vladimir Vigilyansky )," Social consequences of robotization "(head - Archpriest Alexander Balyberdin)," Economics in the context of globalization: the Orthodox-ethical view "(head - P. A. Shashkin) presented work plans of the groups they lead.
