I would like with a grateful heart to remember my mentors, through whom the Lord prepared me for service and richly poured out His mercy. First of all, these are my dear parents and grandmother, who raised me in Cossack traditions and customs. I showed my example that the core of the Cossack life, the main treasure of my valiant ancestors was and is the Orthodox faith and loyalty to the Holy Church. Son, I thank Archpriest Vasily Sobolev, at whose hands I received holy Baptism. It was he who discovered for me the grace and saving life of the priest of the Bloodless Sacrifice, the priest, by showing by personal example that the meaning of the life and ministry of the priest lies in unceasing care for the parishioners and in the care of his flock, even if it is not numerous. I am grateful to God that He linked my life with His Grace, Metropolitan of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk Panteleimon , whom I consider to be my mentor and teacher. Vladyka from his youth brought up, instructed and strengthened me in my desire to serve God and His Holy Church. I am glad that it was through his hands that the Lord honored me first with the priesthood, and then with monasticism. Through his ministry, Vladyka showed me an example of a true archpastor who serves the cause of preaching the word of God. Incomprehensible Providence of the Lord, I was chosen to continue the highest work of the apostles. I prayerfully ask for their help in solving the most important tasks of the episcopal service on the Yenisei land. This is a sermon among young people and teenagers, for whom the temple should become an island of salvation and a refuge in difficult life circumstances. This is the development of social activities in cities and in remote rural parishes. I also see the important task of caring for the indigenous small peoples of the Evenk region. Your Holiness, I thank the Lord that my ministry will be performed under your High Priestly Omphorum, thank you for trusting me who are unworthy. And therefore, with trepidation, I dare to ask you, Your Holiness, not to leave me in my prayers, so that the Lord will strengthen me in the upcoming episcopal ministry. I ask, God-wise archpastors, and your holy prayers for me a sinner. In these great and holy moments of my life, I inspire myself with the words of the martyr Hilarion, Archbishop of Vereya: “May the Lord have mercy and accept my soul, this little contribution to the treasury of the Church for use for the common good.
